Dicks Creek Falls

Dicks Creek Falls in Georgia is just below the confluence of the Dicks Creek and the Waters Creek in the Chattahoochee National Forest. From the intersection of US 129 and Turners Corner road, travel a short distance on Turners Corner Road to make a right onto Dicks Creek Road. Travel about 3 to 4 miles on a mostly dirt road to a parking lot on the right. The parking lot is up a hill and the entrance of the parking lot first looks like a simple gravel road. The waterfalls are on the left across the street from the parking lot.

At first we saw the falls from this view, and then realized that there were people over on that side, so we worked our way around to the top of the falls where the people were sitting.

We had been trying to get to South Carolina, but did not make it the day before and camped nearby at Jenny's Creek Campground. They had given us a few places to visit and this was the first one. We said several times that "Georgia really showed up" as we enjoyed everything we visited in this area of Georgia.

Working our way over to the top.

This is from the top looking downward.

We walked back down to see the second level of the waterfall from several views.

We made it all the way down to ground view. I wanted to get in the water, but it was too early in the morning.

We had brought some hot tea (and coffee for him) and snacks and sat for a while and enjoyed the waterfall.

I promised myself that in 2025 I was going to try to get in front of the camera more, and I did! I was proud of myself for having my photo taken in front of a lot of waterfalls during our trip. This was a big birthday trip for me.

Some other people came and we had them take our photo.
